A young doctor stands confused as a busy mechanic explains what’s wrong with his car. The doctor doesn’t say much; he doesn’t want to sound stupid. He’s struck with a dawning realisation that many of his patients must feel the same. It was a transformative moment for Ben Jones, a junior doctor at a busy city teaching hospital. How he communicated with patients would never be the same again.
This, and other experiences, would ultimately lead to the birth of The Pocket Doctor.
